When I have felt the most compelled to change in my life, it has always been situations weather listening to someone or even reading something that the spirit was there.

It made you feel sad for all types of characters, while being so frustrated at them at the same time. I read it in one day.

I would definetly recommend this book to every teen who isn’t aware of situations like the one presented in this book. In my mind, I am still years-old, running laps on the athletic field, wearing this really hnderwater white gymsuit. Read it Forward Read it first.

I was so excited for the ending the whole time, because I wanted to see what happened to the couple. I would recommend this book, it really gets to your heart, you are constantly wondering what might happen next, and the ending kind of surprises you.

I thought it was very well done how Flinn managed to have me invest myself in the reading and by the end I was really feeling for Nick. And that little extra something makes Breathing Underwater perfect in all its imperfection.

The only place where this book failed was it felt a little too impersonal. When you fake it for sixteen years, it becomes part of you, something you don’t think about. But to create change like I suspect the author was trying to do, I think it fails miserably.

As I began the novel I couldn’t stop myself from flipping the pages to find out what exactly Nick did and if he manages to control himself or not. Stronger, Faster, and More Beautiful. But I compensated for this early proficiency by absolutely refusing to read the programmed readers required by the school system — workbooks where you read the story, then answered the questions.

I don’t think the book focused enough on the ‘message’.

He also demonstrated some stellar character growth. Fine, if you know what the truth is.

Breathing Underwater

I would recommend this book it makes readers want to keep reading and find out how the next event happens. Then, I read a lot of young-adult novels by writers I admired. A tissue is offered.

I understand from a friends review that the author was compelled to write this story after working with battered women and children. It was a good style though it was not as if you were reading a book page by page but instead reading entries from day to day of someones life. Thus begins Nick’s journey into recalling what really happened in his relationship with Caitlin, as he toggles between the past written inside a journal he keeps and the present day, where he has to deal with the aftermath of his actions.

alrx Inspired by Your Browsing History. As the book went on, I realized I related to Nic For Christmas, berathing ton of good books weren’t really on my list but fortunately, a family member disregarded my wishes and bought me a dozen best selling books.

And he has to come to terms with the fact that he was not only an abuser, but also being abused by his controlling father. I thought this was a really important topic, as 27 percent of teenage girls surveyed flinb been hit by a boyfriend. When I was teaching in Young Womens, a talk I came across from Susan Tanner said that we don’t encourage our youth to obey the standards by showing them all the ways they could disobey.

I’m not quite sure how to express my admiration for this story. It shows his feelings, his stories, and his struggles. This is exactly the type of book that teen girls should be reading Quotes from Breathing Underwater. The ending was very predictable. As Nick discusses how him and Caitlyn came to be, his anger classes, and their relationship issues the story grows more interesting.

Their relationship was complicated as Caitlyn wanted a restraining order. This book is written mostly through Nick’s journal entries.
