But I’d honestly recommend just watching the movie instead because the stories are pretty similar aaaand you get this: Some you read to answer a specific question. She also realises that Darcy is a regular english guy- divorced, an actor, and a hurt man who desperately wants to escape reality. Shannon Hale’s worst work for certain. The ending of the movie is different than the book but no less fulfilling. She has written three books for adults, including the upcoming Midnight in Austenland Jan.

I climbed into bed and gave up all caution trying to snag a bit of the blanket hape tightly wound around him. Ella Taylor of the Los Angeles Times described the novel as “some lit lite to see you through a day at the beach”.

I felt so entirely sneaky. While there are parts of the newer, shorter, harried, and nuance free Hollywood version I enjoy, like the supposed-to-be-prettiest-sister Jane, who is actually much prettier than the actress in the BBC version, every time I’ve watched it which, I grant, is only twiceI austenkand angry afterwards.
